When Feeling Stressed Hold Your Breath
Telling someone to breathe when they are stressed doesn’t work or even help. It’s too much to think about. So next time you or someone else (inc the kiddos) are feeling overwhelmed/triggered ask them to simply hold their breath. Without boring you with the technical jargon it’s actually helping to calm your whole nervous system and you’ll feel so much more in your body afterwards.
Spend less time in your head more time on your breath. Works wonders!
